Alden Hoke Scholarships Study Abroad Student Ambassador

Alden is a current pre-junior and is in the BS/MS accelerated degree program in Civil Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. During the fall term of his sophomore year, he participated in an exchange program at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University. Following his studies, he was extremely grateful to have solo-traveled through Vietnam for three weeks. Following his study abroad experience and travels, Alden has gained greater confidence when aspiring towards goals outside of his comfort zone; he finds these moments in unfamiliar territory to be the most developmental. Whether it be through study abroad programs or other means, he hopes that others will be open to new, challenging experiences.
