New Geographic Travel Restrictions Currently in Effect Due to the Covid-19 Omicron Variant

On November 26, 2021, President Biden signed a proclamation that imposed new U.S. travel restrictions on all foreign nationals who were physically present in Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe during the 14-day period preceding their entry or attempted entry into the U.S. The proclamation became effective November 29, 2021 and applies to all foreign nationals regardless of their vaccination status.

We will continue monitoring the situation and share the latest updates on our website and via social media when available. If you think that you may be impacted by this travel ban, please contact ISSS at isss@drexel.edu.
