Students With Disabilities

Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) protects people with disabilities in the realm of employment. Therefore, employers with 15 or more employees are required to provide reasonable accommodations to eligible employees who submit their requests and supporting documentation substantiating a disability.

Students who feel that they need reasonable accommodations to apply for co-op positions, perform essential job functions, or other types of modifications should contact Disability Resources. Disability Resources can assist students in receiving appropriate accommodations while at work and can serve as an advocate for students who need to communicate such information with employers. To be eligible for assistance, students must register with Disability Resources and request assistance. All accommodations must be requested in advance.
