Drexel Co-op: An Education Built for Change
September 9, 2020
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, as we all work to adapt in the midst of
continued economic challenges, we realize the need for innovative solutions. With so much uncertainty due to the global pandemic, we still have some of our most talented students searching for co-op positions. I am proud to say that the Steinbright Career Development Center maintains our commitment to cooperative education and the professional experiences that our students seek.
I'm sure none of us expected remote work being the new norm, and as I put it in a recent Philadelphia Inquirer article, "When you take a look at a 78% employment rate in the middle of a pandemic, where people have had literally no time to even plan ahead for this, I'm very, very happy about that." We are incredibly privileged to have such a resilient co-op program that is able to adapt to a changing world, and we are continuously connecting more students to co-ops through a variety of methods.
As the outbreak continues to impact our lives in unprecedented ways, the Steinbright Career Development Center stands with the Drexel community. We are part of a University built to meet the demands of a changing world, and together, we move onward toward a better future. For more information on the adjustments we are making to the co-op program, visit Steinbright's Response to COVID-19.
