At Drexel University we promote health and well-being through our fitness and wellness programs; as well as partnerships with counseling services and health services. 
Wellness on Wheels is an on-demand mobile program that can be catered to your groups' needs, and is responsible for providing health awareness and educational programming designed to create a healthier Campus community for Drexel Students. 

Interested in hosting a health education workshop? Schedule any of the programming below by emailing the details of your request to studentwellness@drexel.edu. We ask that you please request programming at least 2 weeks in advance. We look forward to programming with you!

Mind

Stressed Out! - Regardless of the time of year, stress can be your worst enemy. This workshop will transform any space into a relaxation room.  This workshop provides students with hands-on relaxation activities as well as resources to walk away with. Activities include:

  • Kinetic Sand
  • Aroma therapy
  • Stress balls
  • Mandalas
Let's Talk About Sex & Healthy Relationships

 - This sex educational programs incorporates fun & interactive games - jeopardy, bingo, & condom races - into a jam packed agenda including: education on contraception, STD's, date rape drugs, and sexual FAQ's. The hands-on games lead to increased participation and group learning of the topics of sexual education. The program wraps itself up with a time for Q&A, as well as the giveaway of condoms for the winning students & teams.

Body

Yoga - Have a certified yoga instructor hold a private yoga class for your group. Please note that yoga mats are not provided.

Boot Camp - looking for a fun workout? Have a boot camp custom designed for groups of up to 70!

No Equipment Needed - This workshop will provide you with a total body workout that you can do without leaving your house. Each participant will be able to walk away with a confident understanding in each exercise and a sample circuit.

Basic Wellness Screenings - During this workshop, students will learn about the components of a fitness assessment. Students will also have the opportunity to get their blood pressure, heart rate, and body fat % taken.

Nutrition & Stress - Feeling stressed? This workshop will help students to understand how food can positively and negatively impact their study habits and well-being.

Healthy Eating

  • On a Budget - Wanting to have a well balanced diet is the first step, being able to afford it is another story. This presentation will help students understand how they can eat a well balanced diet without breaking the bank.
  • On Campus - Not sure where to eat? What to eat? With so many options it can be difficult to decipher which ones are the best for you. This workshop will provide students with an understanding of which restaurants and food trucks on campus have healthy options.

Restaurant Do's & Don'ts - Overwhelmed when you go out to eat? This workshop will help you to understand how to decode a menu for healthy options. After this workshop you will feel confident in how to stick to healthy eating while enjoying a night out with friends.
