COVID-19 Operations: Public Safety
Outlined below are Drexel Public Safety's operations during the phased return to campus. With most of the University working from home, students taking classes online, and social events put on hold, routines have dramatically changed. However, Drexel Public Safety's mission remains the same: We are on campus patrolling 24/7 and ensuring the protection of essential personnel and the safety of the campus.
Police Headquarters at 3219 Arch Street remains open for anyone who needs to file a complaint in person. (Drexel also has several avenues for you to report issues online or by phone.)

DPS Communications Center
The Drexel University Public Safety Communications Center, staffed 24 hours per day, seven days per week, serves as the crucial link between the University community and all of the services provided by Drexel Public Safety, Drexel Police and the Philadelphia Police Department. Dialing 215.895.2222, placing calls on a campus emergency telephone, or activating Drexel Guardian on your mobile phone will connect you directly to the Communications Center.
Drexel Guardian App
Public Safety urges everyone to take a few minutes to download the Drexel Guardian app. If you download the app onto your mobile phone, a GPS locator is activated during self-initiated emergency communications. Dispatchers in the Communications Center can then use Drexel Guardian to locate and assist you. But if you’re living away from campus at the moment, it’s best to dial 911 in an emergency for rapid local response.
