Office of the Provost Newsletter December 2015

M. Brian Blake, PhD

Letter from the Provost

During our Convocation this year, Dr. Youngmoo Kim, our distinguished speaker, coined this as the “The Best Year Ever” for Drexel University. I could not agree more! This is already, for me, the best year ever. I am so honored to serve as your Provost, and to facilitate the next chapter in the meteoric rise of the institution. As I have said many times before, Drexel University is without peer when you consider comprehensive, research universities with contemporary, applied education. Through a meeting with all the academic deans this fall, we all agreed that Drexel faculty and professional staff build minds, resumes, and the future. The news items here exemplify this activity, and I hope you enjoy the newsletter. I look forward to continually meeting you all in the coming days!!
