Dear Students and Colleagues,

The Academic Calendar for summer quarter 2022 has been adjusted in response to Drexel’s observation of Juneteenth on Monday, June 20. The summer quarter will now start on Tuesday, June 21 and end on Monday, August 29, 2022. Term examinations will begin on Tuesday, August 30. Several other academic calendar dates have also been pushed back, including the deadlines to resolve financial holds, add/drop and withdrawal from courses. Please view the Academic Quarter Calendar for the updated dates.

This change has taken place to preserve meeting time for classes that meet on Monday, given the University’s additional closure on Monday, July 4 in observation of Independence Day. The change will also give Monday classes the opportunity to conduct their important first class periods in person.

Instructors should take these revised days into account when planning midterms and other important course dates. They can also use virtual options through Drexel Learn to make up missed credit hours. Please refer to the Learning Management System policy and the Assignment of Credit Hours policy for more information.

Sincerely,

Paul E. Jensen
