LeBow Program Assessment is the 2018 Winner of the Assessment and Pedagogy Award
Every year, the Office of Assessment, Accreditation and Effectiveness solicits nominations for an award for significant achievement in learning assessment and teaching pedagogy. This award is presented as part of the Faculty Recognition Awards and it is overseen by Stephen DiPietro, Vice Provost of Assessment Accreditation and Effectiveness. The award recognizes individuals and teams that have utilized assessment to improve a teaching and learning initiatives and, as a result, have significantly impacted curriculum design and the overall quality of teaching and learning at Drexel. Out of the variety of quality proposals, the winner was “Integrating AOL into your curriculum improvements: The case from career learning at LeBow College of Business” submitted by Lisa DeLuca, Director, Deborah and Dominic Caruso Undergraduate Career Services Office and Teresa Harrison, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Programs.
The DC Center Has Been Busy: Programs and Offerings in 2018
Over the past six months, the DC Center has seen a significant uptick in activity, with a wide range of events and initiatives. The good news is that there have been so many that we cannot report on them all but below we provide a glimpse of what has been happening and the spectrum of kinds of activities that we are able to handle.
Assessment Conference 2018 – A Ringing Success
By all accounts Drexel’s 5th annual conference, “Leading a Collaborative Revolution for Change” was a ringing success. We hosted 420-+ attendees from 30 states and several foreign countries. We had 155 panelists and presenters and offered 56 concurrent sessions, 2 blocks of snapshot sessions and 2 very well received plenary speakers [Todd Zakrajsek and Jillian Kinzie]. We also offered 5 pre-conference half-day workshops attended by over 80+ registrants, and for the first time aligned with AALHE to offer a sold out Institute for people new to our profession...
