  • Assessing Writing in the first Year: How do we Measure Success?

    Assessment is context-specific: our goals determine how we measure success. Assessing the success of the First-Year Writing program (three writing courses required of all students) at Drexel University has required us to look at the measure of success in light of the goals of the program; instead of quantitatively evaluating student writing as a performance but rather as a method of discovery for teaching practices to develop writing abilities.

  • CNHP Launches ExamSoft

    Discover the reasons why CNHP chose to adopt ExamSoft, an assessment-management solution that supports the entire testing process, including exam creation, administration, delivery, scoring, and analysis. ExamSoft is now used to store the college's question banks, build exams, collaborate and provide sustentative feedback and reporting, and future implementations in CNHP look to expand its usage.

  • WACE- World Association for Cooperative Education

    Drexel is a major player in this international organization that seeks full integration of cooperative experiences into curriculum. Current WACE board members include President John Fry and Vice Provost Peter Franks, and Don McEachron of the School of Biomedical engineering has joined the international faculty. Drexel will host a WACE Institute in October fresh on the heels of Drexel's 2nd Annual Assessment Conference
