Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance.

Philadelphia Ballet hosts Dance Theater of Harlem stars and members of the 152nd St. Black Ballet Legacy: Marcia Sells, Sheila Rohan, Gayle McKinney- Griffith, Karlya Shelton- Benjamin, and Lydia Abarca-Mitchell as they come together to fill the gap in representation, share their story, and encourage the next generation of artistic excellence in dance while reclaiming their role in dance history.

Moderated by Blanca Huertas-Agnew (Drexel Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, Dance Program Director and Founder/Artistic Director of Puerto Rico Classical Dance Competition) and Norma Porter (Founding Publisher & Editor of Black Dance Resource Center ), this panel will focus on the past present and future experiences of being a Black dancer in the world of ballet, as well as exploring the broader issues of race and dance in the US today.

Join us for an electric evening of art, culture, and community!
