Naturally Sharp (Vocal Jazz Ensemble) is a select group of 16 singers, chosen by audition in the fall from the University Chorus. Naturally Sharp performs "anything that swings," doing a variety of pieces from the past 100 years with a three-piece back-up band. Additionally, many of the singers are chosen to perform solos. We provide costumes (gowns and tuxes), and performers are expected to have an engaging stage presence, although shows are not choreographed. The group performs numerous off-campus concerts throughout the year, as well as several on-campus performances.
