Gilman International Scholarship to Spain, 2022

BS Architecture ‘24


Anjelica is an ethnic Chinese Indonesian American student in Drexel University’s 2+4 Architecture Intensive Program. She is expected to graduate in Spring 2024 with a bachelor’s in architecture from the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. In addition to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, Anjel is also a recipient of the Westphal Portfolio Scholarship, Founder's Scholarship, and the Philadelphia Foundation D. Colman Witte Scholarship for four consecutive years. In Summer 2019, Anjel was a STAR Scholars undergraduate design research student under Professor Diana Nicholas' Social Impact Design Research Lab: Integral Healthy Living. Her project was titled “Bringing The Inside Out: Creative Spaces and Well-being to Urban Families.” She has been a student on the Dean's list with an outstanding performance and contribution to her college. Anjel has served as secretary on the board of Drexel American Institute of Architecture Student Organization and is currently an IPAL student committed to take her registration exam before graduating. She hopes to use architecture and contribute back to society through community-centered design in affordable housing and education. She will use her Gilman Scholarship to participate in an Architecture & Interiors ICA in Spain over fall break.
