This scholarship, up to $500, will be awarded to students enrolled and active in the Global Engagement Scholars program with demonstrated financial need to study abroad.

This $500 scholarship sponsored by the Office of International Programs is for a student interested presenting at the Annual Student Conference on Global Challenges (typically held Winter Quarter). The student will be required to conduct research (through library resources, observations, experimental study, or faculty mentorship) while abroad on a topic of interest related to the conference theme and would be required to present at the Annual Conference. The research should be related to the student’s study abroad destination. Student panelist frequently asked questions can be found on the OIP website.
The student will be required to attend and present on one session of the Annual Conference and deliver a ten minute presentation on his or her topic. Our 2018 Conference theme will be: Climate and the Environment on Thursday, March 1, 2018.

This student will be required to utilize the technology skills developed in a Global Classroom to produce a web blog/journal documenting his or her experiences while abroad.
