Students who register for and receive accommodations through Disability Resources can receive academic accommodations, housing accommodations and/or dining accommodations.

All students must submit documentation and participate in the interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations. Please note that accommodations are not retroactive; they can only be granted for current and future situations ("forward-looking").

Academic Accommodations

Academic Accommodations can include, but are not limited to, testing accommodations, note-taking assistance, accessible reading materials, classroom modifications, distraction reduced testing, adaptive technology and course substitutions. Housing Accommodations

If you will be seeking a housing accommodation based on disability, you must submit a request for accommodation to Disability Resources by May 01. This deadline is two weeks in advance of the deadline for submitting a housing application (May 15). You must submit both a request for accommodation to Disability Resources and a housing application to University Housing. The request for accommodation must be submitted with sufficient time to ensure that reasonable accommodations can be provided before all other housing assignments are made. Late requests for accommodation will be addressed on a space-available basis.

Returning students and graduate students must also submit requests for accommodation to Disability Resources two weeks in advance of the deadline for submitting a housing application for the same reasons as stated above. The housing application deadline for returning students is March 01. Graduate students should refer to the University Housing website for deadlines and other information relevant to graduate students seeking campus housing.

Dining Accommodations

Dining Accommodations are based on the student's disability. Students seeking a dining waiver or a change in their meal plan must submit documentation that supports the request. The documentation must be submitted and reviewed by Disability Resources professional staff within the first two weeks of the term. Student requests submitted after the two-week deadline will not be eligible for a full reimbursement.
