Graduate Research Analyst
Chelsea Gaylord is a Graduate Research Analyst at the Nowak Metro Finance Lab focused on community wealth building strategies and local deployment of federal funding. Prior to this role, she served as Senior Economic Development Specialist for the City of Colorado Springs where she led COVID-19 response and recovery, entrepreneurship support, equitable redevelopment, and other community investment initiatives. She has also worked with various stage startups across the U.S. and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uganda where she founded a nation-wide program to support young Ugandan entrepreneurs. Chelsea is currently a Master in Public Policy candidate at the University of Michigan with a focus on community and economic development policy.
