Inspire a Child to Dream Day Returns to Drexel on Thursday, April 27
Drexel will host its annual Inspire a Child to Dream Day event on Thursday, April 27, with an extra special treat for this year’s participants — a trip to the Academy of Natural Sciences at Drexel University.
Children aged 6 through 12 of Drexel University faculty and professional staff members, including the Academy and Drexel University Online, are invited to attend this annual day of learning and fun activities, modeled after the national "Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work®" program. In 2016, 192 children were educated and inspired by this inside peek of the world of work at Drexel University.
The 2017 program is divided into sessions lasting approximately 45 minutes each and children will be grouped according to age for the activities. The trip to the Academy is scheduled for the afternoon. All children must be accompanied by their parent or guardian in order to attend, and space is limited. Reservations for the Academy trip will be confirmed.
A shuttle will take parents and children to the Academy at 1:15 p.m., where they will be greeted with a scavenger hunt. At 2:30 p.m., children and their parents are invited to a show in the auditorium, or they can tour the special exhibit together.
Faculty and professional staff must register their children by March 31 in order to attend this year's Inspire a Child to Dream Day. Drexel Human Resources is unable to accommodate walk-ins on the day of the event.
