Drexel Supports Employee Mental (& Financial) Health Through Health Advocate
Chronic stress, difficult emotions, financial concerns, workplace conflicts and marital strife can touch all our lives, either directly or indirectly. To help create a stronger and more resilient workforce, Drexel University partners with Health Advocate to offer a robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that helps employees who are struggling with these issues or who feel stuck or lost in general.
All the EAP staff are licensed professionals who provide mental health assessments, in-the-moment support and appropriate ongoing resources for issues surrounding chronic stress, work-life balance, grief, life transitions, or other mental health concerns.
If you’re struggling with chronic stress or feeling weighed down by workplace conflicts or trouble at home, consider calling Health Advocate’s Employee Assistance Program.
What Should I Know Before I Call Health Advocate?
Find a quiet place where you feel safe to talk freely about what you’re wanting help with. Expect to be on the phone for at least 20 minutes, but know that sessions may last up to an hour.
What If I’m Struggling with a Medical Claims or Billing Issue?
If you get a bill from your health insurance provider that is stressing you out or that you don’t understand, Health Advocate can help put your mind at ease by confirming that the bill is correct or by getting it corrected on your behalf if something isn’t right.
Let Health Advocate help you navigate your health insurance. If you’re unsure about how much something might cost, they can help you obtain a cost estimate from different providers so that you can make sure you are making the best use of your benefits for your health and your finances.
What About My Privacy?
All services offered by Health Advocate are completely confidential and HIPAA-complaint. Health Advocate will not report to Drexel which employees or their family members utilized their services. Your privacy is protected and honored.
