Drexel was included in an April 29 Philadelphia Inquirer story about Lyric Wise, a senior at Paul Robeson High School, who was surprised live on “Good Morning America” with $50,000 to put toward her tuition at Drexel. Members of Drexel's Spirit Team and Dragon mascot, Mario, helped present her with the surprise. WPVI-TV (6-abc) and WTVD-TV (ABC-RaleighNorth Carolina) aired the segment.
