Philadelphia Geek Awards nominees announced

Drexel faculty and staff were among the nominees for the 2014 Philadelphia Geek Awards, as announced by Geekadelphia, Metro Philadelphia, Newsworks and the Philadelphia Business Journal. Genevieve Dion, director of the Shima Seiki Haute Technology Lab; Ted Daeschler, PhD, an associate professor in the College of Arts & Sciences and paleontologist at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University; Greg Lobanov, an undergraduate in Westphal College; and a Rube Goldberg device created by undergraduate students in the College of Engineering, were all nomined for awards. The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University was also mentioned as the host of the awards. View Story
