An April 26 MSN Money story about wearable technology mentioned Genevieve Dion, a professor in the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design and the director of the Shima Seiki Haute Technology Laboratory in Drexel’s ExCITe Center. Dion is part of a cross-disciplinary group of researchers from Westphal College, the College of Engineering, the College of Nursing and Health Professions and the College of Medicine that is developing a maternity-wear belly band that will be able to monitor uterine contractions.
