Learn How Procurement Services Is Supporting Supplier Inclusion

Procurement Services and Amazon Collaborate on Supplier Inclusion: Procurement Services recently enabled preferred search results for local and certified underrepresented suppliers in the Amazon catalog in Smart Source. When items from such suppliers are available, they will appear at the top of your search results with a note indicating that they are “Preferred by your organization.” Procurement Services strongly encourages you to select items from preferred suppliers when available, as they support local, small, minority-owned, veteran-owned and woman-owned businesses, among others.  Procurement Services will continue to work with Amazon and our other supplier partners to support Drexel’s commitment to supplier inclusion and our local community.

Drexel Nationally Recognized for Socially Responsible Purchasing: For taking proactive steps to support and engage with minority-owned businesses through a supplier diversity office, unique programs and leading initiatives, Drexel recently received the INSIGHT Into Diversity Jesse L. Moore 2021 Supplier Diversity Award, a national recognition for institutions of higher education from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine. Winners were announced in the magazine’s April 2021 issue. Read the full feature about this recognition, and Procurement’s commitment to socially responsible purchasing, on DrexelNow.
