Dragons Out for Blood Drexel Students to Participate in CAA Blood Challenge

What: Drexel University in collaboration with the American Red Cross will be looking for its fourth straight victory in the eighth annual Colonial Athletic Association Blood Challenge. Drexel, Delaware and the rest of the teams in the CAA will compete in the coming weeks to win the blood challenge. Drexel has been the winner for the past three years. In 2008, Drexel collected 822 pints of blood and in 2007, Drexel set the challenge record with 942 actual donors, which resulted in 875 units of blood collected. Since its launch seven years ago, the CAA Blood Challenge has raised a total of 17,728 units of blood, which have helped to save 53,184 lives.
