Governor Rendell and Mayor Nutter Among Those Honoring Drexel’s Papadakis Today
What: Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will be among those honoring the life and legacy of the late Drexel University President Constantine Papadakis today. They will be joined by Drexel Interim President C.R. “Chuck” Pennoni, students, faculty, staff, trustees and friends who will offer tributes to Papadakis. Editor’s Note: Drexel alumna and current graduate student Maria Papadakis ’08 will share memories of her father.Drexel’s 60-member Gospel Choir will perform. A resolution passed by Philadelphia City Council on April 30, recognizing his outstanding service to the City, will be read.When: Thursday, May 7, 2009, beginning at 3:30 p.m.Where: Main Building Auditorium (32nd and Chestnut Streets).
