Drexel University College of Medicine is proud to announce that $286,250 was raised at this year's Manuel Stamatakis Golf Classic. The outing held July 30, 2007, at Philadelphia Country Club, drew 180 golfers and was followed by a dinner and awards reception. The money raised will benefit the Manuel N. Stamatakis Medical Education Fund, established by the College of Medicine chairman to support scholarships for academically talented medical students with a demonstrated financial hardship.
