Walter P. Harris Jr., MD, is an ophthalmologist practicing in Philadelphia. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Hahnemann and his residency in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia. He is certified in LASIK surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Walter P. Harris Jr., MD, is chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he has been an affiliate faculty for nearly 30 years. Dr. Harris developed and teaches the curriculum for the ophthalmology anterior surgery lecture series and wet lab/surgical series for Drexel/Hahnemann ophthalmology residents. He has served as supervising attending and proctoring surgeon at Rittenhouse Eye Associates for residents on clinical rotation from Drexel Eye Physicians, and has served in the same capacity for residents at Wills Eye. He is a member of the Continuing Education Committee for Ophthalmology at Drexel.
