Mark Famador, MD, earned his BA in philosophy at the Jesuit University of the Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Drexel University College of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Famador provided inpatient care at the Psychiatric Medical Care Unit (PMCU) at Hahnemann University Hospital. He has experience in neuromodulation therapies (e.g., ECT and TMS), and also medication-assisted treatment for patients with addiction.

Dr. Famador has a strong passion for psychopharmacology, ethics, philosophy and advocacy issues. He has been member of the Council on Advocacy of New Jersey Psychiatric Association, and is a board of trustees representative for the Southern Chapter of the New Jersey Psychiatric Association.

Mark Famador, MD, is a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and director of the Adult Psychiatry Residency program for Drexel University College of Medicine. He joins Drexel from Cooper University Hospital of Rowan University, where he was assistant professor. He has juggled several roles, such as teaching psychopharmacology to residents while serving on the Pharmacy Committee and Therapeutics and Ethics Committee of the hospital.

Throughout his career, he has been an excellent teacher, including in the psychopharmacology and neuromodulation lecture series for the Adult Psychiatry Residency program in Cooper. He also has been actively involved in teaching medical students from Rowan University in Camden.
