Maanit Kohli, MD, is a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. He has a strong interest in medical education. During his time at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, he served on the House Staff Committee and participated in a quality improvement project aimed at recognizing data loss during electronic medical record transfer.

At Saint Peter's University Hospital, Dr. Kohli founded a resident-student lecture series for medical students and gave lectures to the Medical History Club. He was a member of the Hyperkalemia, Graduate Medical Education & Resident Welfare Committee, and of the organizing team for a 2018 Back to Bedside Symposium. Dr. Kohli served as a moderator for grand rounds Mortality & Morbidity conferences. In addition, he was responsible for development of the Internal Medicine Department's CODE-PD (code physical diagnosis)program, aimed at increasing exposure of medical trainees to physical findings.

Dr. Kohli is a reviewer for the Journal of American Geriatric Society. He served as an examiner for the ACCESS exam for the Royal College of Physicians in 2019, and as a judge for the American Geriatrics Society's 2019 Resident Poster Session and for the 2019 Resident Research Day at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

Research Overview

At present, Dr. Kohli is involved in research around alcohol withdrawal in the elderly, and the development of bedside skills in residency training.
