Hirad Heydayat, MD, is a fellowship-trained comprehensive vascular neurosurgeon with extensive experience treating and researching some of the most complex conditions of the brain. He is director of cerebrovascular/endovascular neurosurgery at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. His expertise includes the treatment of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), stroke and other potentially fatal conditions of the brain and cerebrovascular system.

Widely published, Dr. Hedayat’s research is focused on intra-arterial management of stroke, cerebral aneurysms, carotid artery disease, brain tumors, and neurosurgical outcomes and complications. As a research fellow in the Case Western University Department of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Hedayat conducted cutting-edge brain tumor research involving drug therapy receptors.
