Deborah Ziring, MD, received her undergraduate degree in physical therapy from Temple University, and her MD at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She completed a residency in categorical medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. Ziring is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
She has served on the faculty of Drexel University College of Medicine and its predecessor institutions since 1989. She was named an assistant professor of medicine and assistant course director for Introduction to Clinical Medicine (ICM) in 2007. In 2009 she became the course director for ICM, and the following year took on the additional role of associate director of the Year 2 Interdisciplinary Foundations of Medicine curriculum.
