AAMC Leadership Development Opportunities
Each year the College of Medicine supports eligible faculty members to apply for attendance at AAMC leadership development programs. From the pool of internal applicants, one will be chosen to formally apply to the AAMC program.
Internal Application Process
The applicant must submit the following:
- Updated CV in the College of Medicine format
- Statement from the candidate that includes:
- Description of present responsibilities
Accomplishments to date
2- and 5-year goals
Expectations for how the program will help her achieve those goals
Mentorship plan for the applicant
- Letter of support from the department chair
Complete application packets in the form of a single PDF file should be sent to CoM.FAFD@drexel.edu. Do not send items piecemeal; they will not be considered.

Who Should Apply
Faculty of any gender. Past participants have included, but are not limited to, assistant and associate professors, program directors, assistant deans and administrative leaders. This seminar is designed to prepare new and emerging leaders to be successful in a leadership role.
Junior faculty of any gender (senior clinical and research fellows, instructors, and assistant professors) and postdocs (MD, DO/PhDs and PhDs) who aspire to leadership positions in academic medicine.
Women faculty at the instructor or assistant professor level
Faculty at the associate professor level
Women physicians and scientists at the associate professor level
