About Woman One 2014

Laurada Byers was honored on April 28, 2014, at the Woman One ceremony at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philadelphia. Byers is the founder of the Russell Byers Charter School in Philadelphia. A long-time advocate for women's equality, also she co-founded the 56% League, an organization that advances women's political engagement.

Welcome 2014 Woman One Scholars

The Institute for Women's Health and Leadership welcomed three new scholars – Stephanie Coriolan, Jillian Thayer and Jaclyn Heilman – on August 1.

Stephanie, Jaclyn and Jillian join 8 other current scholars and 16 scholars emeritae who are practicing medicine across the country, many in underserved communities.

2014 Salute to Scholars

The Institute for Women's Health and Leadership welcomed the two new Woman One Scholars, Christel Francois and Cherish Page on Thursday, November 14. Salute to Scholars also recognized the other seven Woman One Scholars, honored Woman One 2013 Lisa Thomas-Laury, and announced the 2014 honoree, Laurada Byers.
