Women Led Cities

A platform for women working worldwide to improve cities

The Lindy Institute is proud to sponsor Women Led Cities, a trailblazing initiative bringing women’s voices to the forefront of urbanism, with a goal of achieving a greater level of equity in urban planning and design and engaging citizens in developing feminist city policy towards greater equality for all people. Inequity in design isn't just about representation, it impacts how women and girls live, travel, and thrive in urban environments.

To begin to address this, WLC is developing a two-day working conference to bring together 20-30 women from a variety of urban fields invited to deconstruct the issues faced by women and reconstruct an action plan to bolster representation, power, and each other, beyond the conference itself. This will culminate in a public panel open to everyone in an effort to share the results of the prior day and to start a dialogue with the city at large.
