Jerald Watson is a real estate investment and economic development professional from New York City. In his previous role at the NYC Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), he utilized his experience in finance, real estate, and urban planning to lead deal structuring for mixed-use projects comprising $2.3 billion in stabilized value. He is pursuing an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Jerald is interested in how policy and business practices can create public benefit in the built and digital environments. Jerald received his B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from Cornell University. Outside of work, Jerald is a freelance portrait and documentary photographer whose work showcases the beauty and vigor of Black life. Jerald has served in leadership positions at the NYC Real Estate Investment Cooperative (Treasurer) and the Kings County Tennis League (Junior Board Member). He currently resides in Brooklyn, where his family’s been based for over 100 years.
