Professor Reena Parambath

So, you’ve been accepted to Kline Law! Congratulations and Welcome!

Some of you know exactly what you want to practice when you graduate and where you are going with your law degree. Others are here to discover themselves with curiosity and open minds. All of you are in the right place because of the Co-op Program, which allows students to be either targeted in their placement search or free to explore different opportunities.

Co-op is a part of our academic program where students work in the field under the supervision of experienced practitioners to earn course credits. Here at Kline Law, we offer field placements in a variety of legal settings, including law firms of all sizes, corporate legal departments, judicial chambers, governmental agencies and public interest organizations. Our co-op partners cover a variety of practice areas too, such as criminal prosecution, criminal defense, plaintiff’s personal injury, medical malpractice, general casualty defense, commercial litigation, labor & employment, corporate work, real estate, environmental law, direct client services, policy work, compliance, patent prosecution, trademark & copyright, entertainment law, etc.

Co-op gives you so many choices: Part-time co-op, full time co-op, academic year co-op, local placements, national placements and international placements. You can rely on hundreds of established placements or you can create your own co-op. You can co-op early (as early as the summer after your first year) or later (i.e., as a capstone of a concentration during your last semester).

My name is Reena Parambath and I direct the Co-op Program. Come see me early during your time here and I will help you chart out a great co-op plan!
