National Lawyers Guild Kline Chapter General Body Meeting

Thursday, September 29, 2022

12:00 PM-1:00 PM

As the first racially integrated Bar Association, the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) has historically and consistently worked for the advancement of marginalized people in the areas of human rights, labor relations, immigration reform, police accountability, and housing rights. The NLG’s work is informed by and rooted in the credo that human rights are inherently more valuable than property rights. We hope to continue to this legacy and use our privilege as law students to assist and uplift members of our community.

Please stop by for a brief history of the organization, a run-down of the community-oriented projects we will be engaging in this semester, an update on our letter writing campaign to President John Fry in relation to the University’s obligations to our neighbors, and a summary of the various networking opportunities the NLG presents, including disorientation and happy hours!
