Caitlin Smith, a rising 3L, co-wrote an article in a special report on human rights published by Ethisphere.

The article, “The Logistical Approach,” explores steps that logistics and supply chain companies can and should follow to combat human trafficking.

Smith co-wrote the article with Catherine Muldoon, the chief legal officer of BDP International Inc. and a member of the Kline School of Law adjunct faculty who teaches Risk Management in the Master of Legal Studies Program.

The article explains steps taken by BDP, a global logistics and transport company that operates in 130 countries, to ensure that it does not partner with businesses that engage in human trafficking or forced labor.

BDP has been recognized for its ethical practices by the Ethisphere Institute, the global leader in defining and advancing ethical business practices.

Smith is completing a concentration in Business and Entrepreneurship Law.
