Robert W. Tomilson Partner, Clark Hill, PLC Robert Tomilson has been legal counsel and trusted adviser to the insurance and financial services industry for more than 18 years, both in private practice and as in-house counsel for a Fortune 100 insurance company. He is an insurance subject matter expert who represents insurers, reinsurers and intermediaries in litigation and regulatory investigations. Tomilson serves as an advisor to the American Law Institute's "Restatement of the Law of Liability Insurance." He is a longstanding member of the adjunct faculty, teaching Insurance Law. He received his JD from Washington University School of Law and his MA in European History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. As a graduate student, was a Fulbright-DAAD scholar in Regensburg, Germany.
