DUNX1 Shutdown on June 30, 2022
March 1, 2022
After decades of service, the DUNX1 system and services will be retired on Thursday, June 30, 2022. User surveys showed that relatively few people used that system and that those who did focused on three of its services. The advice below should help those users transition to alternatives.
Course Content
Course content published from DUNX1 accounts should be uploaded to Drexel Learn. Once the content is uploaded, it can be copied forward term-after-term to new courses and even applied in other courses where it would be useful. If you need assistance with migrating course content to Drexel Learn, please contact the Instructional Technology Group at itg@drexel.edu.
Personal Webspace
Users who host non-course webpages on DUNX1 need to find another hosting solution. Sites that primarily served content related to a departmental function should be migrated to the department's official University website.
Compilers
The compilers on the DUNX1 system have not been updated for many years. Anyone who needs a compiler should already have access to a more modern compiler. If you do not have access to an alternative for a compiler on DUNX1, please submit a Drexel IT help desk support request titled "DUNX1 Compiler."
We will send monthly reminders of the DUNX1 retirement through June 30, 2022.
