Drexel Virtual Private Network (VPN) Security Improvements
May 29, 2019
The Drexel VPN allows off-campus access to resources that normally can be accessed only from the Drexel campuses, such as the University File Server, Internet Native Banner, and Virtual Applications. It provides this via a secure, encrypted connection between a user's device and the Drexel network.
In support of ongoing efforts to better protect personal information, beginning on the morning of Thursday, May 30, the Drexel VPN will require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). When signing in to the Drexel VPN, you will need to confirm the sign in attempt using the same Microsoft MFA method that you would for your email and Office365 access.
For detailed setup instructions and the latest official information on the MFA project, visit the Drexel IT Web site (drexel.edu/it/mfa).
