New Zero-Day Exploit in Google Chrome Found
March 8, 2019
Google's Threat Analysis Group found the exploit on Wednesday, February 27, and released a patch titled version 72.0.3626.121 the following Friday for desktop and Android. A patch was released for Chrome OS this past Tuesday, March 5. Mac, Windows, and Linux users can head to chrome://settings/help to manually initiate the download if it has yet to be pushed to a device. Once complete, Chrome will alert users to finish the process and restart the browser. It otherwise updates the next time users close the desktop application.
We thank you for taking these precautions.
