Version 2.50, March 19, 2012

New or Changed

Mango-optimized
Takes advantage of new features in Windows Phone 7.5, including fast application switching.

Push Notifications
In Settings, students can activate push notifications to get alerts when grades are posted or holds placed on their records.

Secondary Tiles
Most pages can be pinned to the start screen to give direct access to commonly-used features.

Background tasks
Tiles for notices, academics, courses, coop, and balances can be updated in the background via periodic tasks. (See Settings for details.)

Photo Sharing
In the Pictures Hub, you can tap Sharing to get to go right to the Candid Campus photo submission page.

Status Bar
The time shows at the tops of pages; tap to see signal strength, battery power, etc.

Academics
Term-based information like course lists and grades now display like the conversation via in email so that prior and future terms can be compressed to reduce clutter.

Acknowledgements
Highlighted message on the Me tab are acknowledged once tapped. For example, if you have a course with new announcements, the Academcs item will highlight that; after you tap on Academics, the Me tab will stop highlighting Academics until the next new announcement arrives.

Photo Class Lists
Instructors can now send email to the whole class or to a group of selected students. Just tap to the left of the photos to display checkboxes (like in the email app), select the students that you want to write to, then slide over to the Contact tap to email them.

Feedback
Suggestions are now powered by UserVoice so that users can vote on ideas. Reporting of bugs has been streamlined. All features are availble from the Settings/About or Community/Release Notes+Feedback sections.

Fixes
Missing page animations have been added. Minor bugs have been fixed. User interface inconsistencies have been addressed.

Known Issue

When a phone is set to a region other than "English (United States)", the app may crash, display incorrect data, or refuse to display some information. Some regions use different formats than the U.S. for dates, times, and numbers; the app cannot proper handle these formats. Crashing can occur in the Food+Shopping page; incomplete data can appear in Academics (Schedule), Transportation, and Events; incorrect data can appear in Academics (GPA). An update will be issued shortly.

Privacy

Location Services:
Location services enhance campus maps, merchant details, and shuttle bus tracking.
Your GPS location information is never stored or transmitted by DrexelOne Mobile.

Live Tiles and Push Notifications:
When turned on, your accent color and a unique identifier for your phone is sent to Drexel so that we can compose the right tile and alert information for you.
