Drexel University Online's Test Drive allows prospective students to try out the online learning experience before making a commitment. Inside Higher Ed talks to a Test Drive participant, as well as Susan Aldridge, PhD, senior vice president and president of Drexel Online, to learn more.

Summary

Melanie Finn knew that a traditional classroom wouldn't work for her, but as a newcomer to online education, she wasn't sure how comfortable she would be in an online classroom. Enter the Test Drive. Participants in the free weeklong program chat with faculty and fellow students, while also playing around in Drexel's learning management system, Blackboard. 

Since its inception in 2014, the Test Drive has enrolled more than 7,000 participants and continues to incorporate more content, such as application how-to videos and virtual scavenger hunts. Read the full Inside Higher Ed article here
