Act 101

History

For decades, the Pennsylvania Higher Education Equal Opportunity Program (also known as Act 101) has existed to remove barriers for historically underrepresented students. At Drexel, ACT 101 students are served in the Center for Inclusive Education and Scholarship, and we will work with you to provide comprehensive and integrated academic support with the goal of empowering your persistence to graduation.

Who We Support

  • Currently enrolled (full-time or part-time) undergraduate students at Drexel University
  • Academically-qualified students established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education
  • Economically-qualified students established by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services
  • Those who file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually
  • Students who maintain primary residence in Pennsylvania

Act 101 services evolve with the needs of our participants. Currently, our services include but are not limited to:

  • Bridge Programming
  • Academic Coaching
  • Financial Counseling
  • Peer Mentoring
  • Tutoring
  • A Lending Library
