Witnesses to Hunger Camden Exhibit Launches

September 19, 2013

Ten mothers and grandmothers from Camden, New Jersey, are the newest members of Witnesses to Hunger. In what has been named one of the most impoverished and dangerous cities in America, 10 women shared their stories and photographs of what life is like for them and their children. The pictures of their communities, children, and homes paint a picture of the need but also the strength of Camden.

The photographs, along with quotes from the women, will be exhibited from September 19 to 21 at Gallery Eleven One, located at 339 N. Front Street, Suite B, Camden, New Jersey.

On Thursday, September 19 from 5-9 p.m. the Center will be hosted a reception for the exhibit. Witnesses were in attendance to talk about their photographs and their experiences.

The exhibit celebrates the strength and determination of the Witnesses to Hunger.
