Entertainment, Shopping and Services Through Corestream!
Drexel Human Resources works with our voluntary benefits provider, Corestream, to provide employees with numerous personal shopping and entertainment discounts. To learn more about discounts available to you, log in to the My Drexel Benefits portal, accessed under the Employee tab of DrexelOne. Then select the Corestream web link to browse available discounts.
Examples of available discounts:
- mobile, internet and cable providers;
- tickets to movies, shows, sporting events;
- tickets to theme parks, museums, zoos;
- travel activities, hotels, rental car services;
- books, magazine subscriptions;
- fitness and weight loss services; and
- many shopping opportunities!
IBX Health and Well-Being Discounts
If Independence Blue Cross (IBX) is your health insurer, you may be eligible for discounts that they offer. Log in to the IBX website to learn more.
Recreation Center Membership
The Drexel University Recreation Center offers discounted memberships as well as programming such as personal training, massage therapy and swim lessons to full- and part-time faculty and professional staff members. DragonDollars Merchant Discounts
Some local dining and retail locations accept DragonDollars (funds that you can load directly to your DragonCard) for payment and may offer special discounts to Drexel employees, students and alumni. Visit the DragonDollars Directory and use the Customize It filter options to search for discounts.
Computers and Software

The Academy of Natural Sciences Membership
Drexel employees can use payroll deduction to purchase a membership to the Academy of Natural Sciences (the Academy). All Drexel faculty and professional staff can elect to pay for a year's membership either in monthly increments or with a one-time payment.
Faculty and professional staff (all DragonCard holders) do get free individual general admission to the Academy, but a full Academy membership includes a host of other benefits:
- Discounted parking rates at a nearby garage.
- Discounts in the Academy gift shop and café.
- Discounted or free admission to evening events.
- Invitations to members-only previews and to the popular Members' Night event.
Family level members and above also receive free general admission for the family – two adults and up to five children or grandchildren (under the age of 18).
Payroll deduction is a quick and easy way for you to become involved with the Academy. The Academy will offer a 10 percent discount to any faculty or professional staff member who chooses to join through payroll deduction. To become a member, complete the Academy Membership Payroll Deduction Form [PDF] and return to Institutional Advancement at firstname.lastname@example.org or 3141 Chestnut Street, Suite 310. Chesterbrook Academy Preschool
Conveniently located on Drexel’s University City Campus, Chesterbrook Academy cares for infants up to kindergartners and offers a 5 percent discount to Drexel employees. Summer camps are also offered.
ESF Summer Camp Discounts
ESF (Education, Sports, Fun) offers Drexel employees discounts on its summer camp programs. View this flyer [PDF] for more information and the coupon code needed to receive your discount. Since 1982, ESF has operated high-quality summer day camps at independent schools in Pennsylvania such as The Episcopal Academy, The Haverford School, Montgomery School and Norwood-Fontbonne Academy.
