Administrative Development Certificates

Drexel Human Resources (HR) is committed to providing its employees with professional development opportunities that are relevant and engaging. HR is expanding its current offerings with a more comprehensive range of certificate programs to accommodate employee development at all career levels.

As part of this initiative, we are delighted to announce that HR is now offering two new professional development certificates for administrative professionals:

  • Administrative Essentials Certificate
  • Administrative Excellence Certificate

To kick off these certificate programs, we are hosting an Administrative Professionals Networking Event on Friday March 22, from 9-11 a.m. If you are interested in attending, please register in Career Pathway. Here's a sneak peek at the event:

Each of these certificate programs entails completing 13 trainings – 10 required and three electives – for your personal and professional development. The trainings are a combination of online and in-person workshops and encompass a variety of subject matters, including improving your communication and customer service skills, building your University knowledge and Microsoft Office skills, overcoming implicit bias, and demonstrating everyday leadership. Completing the Administrative Essentials Certificate is a prerequisite for earning the Administrative Excellence Certificate.

The certificates have been piloted with a team of administrative and executive assistants in the Finance and Administrative Services Division under Executive Vice President Helen Bowman. We have received great feedback from pilot participants, and they will be at the networking event to talk about the program and answer your questions.
