Creating Harmony at Home and at Work (In-Person OR Webinar) (15 Wellness Points)*
Wednesday, July 15, 2020
12:00 PM-1:00 PM
“You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf” Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction movement.
We all aspire to live a harmonious life in our families and at work. And we are all subject to disruption, disappointment and dis-harmony. This presentation will offer some tools from mindfulness meditation to navigate life’s rough waters.
We will learn how to implement simple on–the-spot practices to cultivate kindness towards ourselves, empathy towards others, and resilience. These tools will be useful both when we get what we want, and when we don’t.
Our presenter Jude Robison has been practicing mindfulness meditation since 1980 and is currently a senior teacher at the Philadelphia Shambhala Meditation Center. She completed the Jefferson University Hospital Practicum in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Professionals and has taught in a wide variety of settings in the U.S. and Canada.
