First Steps to Fulbright - College of Medicine Special Edition

Tuesday, January 31, 2023

12:30 PM-1:30 PM

Are you interested in research or graduate study abroad? The Fulbright US Student Program provides grants for one year of research, graduate study, or teaching English in 140+ countries. In the past, several Drexel medical students have received the grant and spent a year doing research abroad, usually between 2nd and 3rd year or 3rd and 4th year. Some Fulbright research programs are even specially reserved for students pursuing health professions. Read more about students like Seyi Aderotoye (MD '15, Fulbright Study/Research Grant to Nigeria 2014-15), Shawn Joshi (MD/PhD '23, Fulbright Study/Research to the UK 2017-18), and Andrew Blakely (MD '10, Fulbright Study/Research to Spain 2008-09) in our Student Profiles.

This info session will provide details about the program, the Drexel application process, and tips for crafting a competitive application. Students from outside of DUCOM are welcome to attend. The Fulbright US Student Program requires applicants to be US citizens; citizens of other countries can explore other Fulbright programs through their country of citizenship's Fulbright Commission.

Please register in advance; events with zero registrants 24 hours ahead will be cancelled. If you are unable to attend but would like to receive follow-up information related to this event, please register and select follow-up only in the registration options.
