What made you choose Drexel?

Mainly the coop system.

What made you choose FYES?

Had a lot of things that I was interested so I wasn’t sure what I want to major in or see myself doing in the future.

What are the academic and professional benefits of exploring your first year?

Gives you more time to consider your decisions while you can try out more courses.

What has your experience been like with your advisor?

Great, Nina was really helpful with keeping me on track and gave advices on my confusions.

Any memorable classes or instructors?

Khrystyna Oros Ryan for IDM 100.

Biggest takeaways from the FYES classes or the whole FYES experience?

Don’t rush yourself into making a decision and really take you time. Talking to older grade level students helped a lot. Even if you didn’t think that you won’t major in that field, still try to take a vast field of courses.

What else are you involved in at Drexel? How can students get involved in university groups?

I’m apart of the eboard for the Dragons Run club. We are a running club founded by Students Run Philly Style (SRPS) alums and we help train students for long-distance races! I am also a regular member at the badminton club, come play with me sometime! During quarantine, I recently became an active member at the Women in Computing Science (WiCS) club, come learn a lot of different information and resources you would need in the tech field! They are an inclusive club so it does not matter what gender pronouns you use.
